Breg Polar Care Wave KNEE Cold Therapy & Compression System

The Breg Polar Care Wave cold therapy machine is a motorized unit that combines cold therapy and compression. It is contained within a straightforward, quiet, and compact device featuring a range of anatomic pads, including knee, hip, shoulder, ankle, universal, and back pads.

The Breg Polar Care Wave is intended to treat post-surgical and acute injuries to reduce inflammation, edema, swelling, and pain where cold and compression are indicated.  This machine can deliver continuous compression and cold therapy for a duration of up to 6 -8 hours before requiring the addition of more ice.

The pads can be acquired individually or as part of a comprehensive system. Additionally, there is an option to purchase a Y adaptor accessory, enabling the simultaneous use of two pads.

The system is easily transported from the hospital, physical therapy clinic, or athletic training room to the patient’s home, extending the benefits of cold and compression.

This is the highest-end cold therapy and compression machine on the market in its price category.  A comparable system is Gameready.   Gameready is a great device but nearly 10x the cost.  The Breg Polar Care Wave cold therapy and compression system delivers great value for the clinical benefit.

If you are a patient having bilateral total knee arthroplasty, consider a y-connector and a second knee pad so you can ice both knees at the same time.

• Regular = 50 mmHg average peak compression
• Low = 25 mmHg average peak compression

• Colder ≥ 45°F average operating temperature of the pad

Warranty:  Manufacturers warranty is 6 months on the cooler and pads.

The Breg Wave Cold Therapy Knee Pads can be directly put on the skin and do not require a underlayer.  These pads provide continuous cold therapy and compression of the knee joint.  Great for using after knee surgery such as after a total knee replacement.

Using the optional Y-Adaptor, you can use 2 pads to work on different body parts at the same time (both knees).  These machines improve range of movement, reduce blood loss, reduce swelling and inflammation and reduces pain.

You can choose between two sizes for the knee.  Most adults would benefit from the Large/XLarge pad as it will give you more coverage around the entire joint.  Look at your thigh circumference to determine which pad would be best for your situation.
