Patellar Tendonitis, also known as Jumper’s Knee, involves inflammation of the patellar tendon, the structure connecting the kneecap to the shinbone. Tendonosis, on the other hand, is a chronic condition characterized by degeneration of the patellar tendon, often resulting from repetitive stress or overuse, and may not necessarily involve inflammation.

In managing Patellar Tendonitis or Tendonosis, individuals may turn to patellar tendon straps or braces designed to alleviate stress on the tendon and provide targeted compression. Additionally, orthotic insoles or shoe inserts can be employed to address biomechanical issues and reduce impact on the patellar tendon during weight-bearing activities.
