Orliman Breathable Thumb Immobilizing Splint

The Orliman Breathable Thumb Immobilizing Splint in beige is designed to help reduce the pain in your thumb while stabilizing the 1st MCP and CMC joint.

The splint is made of breathable velour, which has venting holes on the surface to facilitate the movement of air. The immobilizer system consists of a malleable aluminum splint which can be shaped to the morphology of the patient.

• The bilateral design can be adapted for both the left and right hand.
• The closing system features a velour strap, with hook and loop closure.
• This brace can be used  for injuries to the ligaments in the thumb (Skier’s thumb, Gamekeeper’s thumb).  It immobilizes the MCP and CMC joint which is a common area of thumb arthritis (CMC/basal joint arthritis).

• Tendonitis/tenosynovitis
• Painful or swollen joints
• Instability of the first MCP and CMC joint
• Injuries (eg.: Skier’s Thumb, Gamekeeper’s Thumb)
• Irritations of the first MCP and CMC joint
• Immobilization of the first MCP and CMC joint (Thumb arthrosis)

Measurement:  Measure the circumference around your wrist (use a piece of string if you do not have a flexible measuring tape).  If you are at the top of one sizing group, we recommend you select the next sizing up.
