The late Professor Freddy M. Kaltenborn introduced the principles of manual therapy throughout Europe in the 1950s and over the next fi ve decades was instrumental in establishing this practice specialty throughout the world. His work laid the foundation for the International Federation of Manipulative Therapists (IFOMT) practice standards.
