The MedSpec Gripper Hinged knee brace provides medial and lateral stability and resists distal migration due to an internal SkinLoc™ pad that works in concert with the outer closure strap to grip the proximal end of the calf muscle. Hinge pockets are reinforced in the center and at either end with high tenacity nylon material to enhance durability. Wraparound anterior closure allows for ease of application and an optimum fit.
The Gripper 12” knee support contains a 12” long medial and lateral hinge and is available in two different base materials: Neoprene or CoolFlex™. The neoprene versions provide warmth and superior compression. The CoolFlex version is breathable and hypoallergenic.

Med Spec products have a limited warranty against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of SIX MONTHS from date of purchase.
CloseReturned items must be in excellent and/or unused condition for full product credit. Use extra caution when packing for returns to avoid damage. Law labels and identification labels must remain on all products for credit. Credit cannot be issued for products with markings, stickers or torn pages. If the original packaging or instructions are missing or damaged, or if the items are not in ‘like new’ condition, packed in a secondary box, a restocking fee of 25% will be deducted from your refund.

The Gripper 12” is available in two different base materials: Neoprene and CoolFlex™. The neoprene version provides warmth and superior compression. The Gripper 12″ is made with a thinner and lighter neoprene. The CoolFlex version is breathable and hypoallergenic. All MedSpec braces are latex free.
Internal SkinLoc™ pad works in concert with the outer closure strap to stop the brace sliding down the leg, thereby increasing patient compliance. Easy to apply wrap around design provides medial and lateral stability and resists downward migration.
The wrap around anterior closure allows for ease of application and an optimum fit. Opening behind the knee in the material prevents bunching during flexion to improve comfort.
The MedSpec Gripper 12″ Hinged Knee Brace uses high tension elastic straps that resist fraying and maintain closure strength even after multiple applications. The brace reinforces the metal hinge pockets with nylon material on the inside at wear points, stopping the hinge from wearing through the pocket.
This design ensures long-lasting durability and reliable performance, giving users peace of mind during various activities and letting them to focus on their recovery and movement without worrying about strap integrity or hinge damage.
Hand wash in warm water with mild detergent and no bleach. Rinse thoroughly and air dry.

My physiotherapist recommended this product based on the fact that its adjustable and has an opening at the back that prevents it from bunching while sitting for long periods during my work. I tried on a bunch of other brands and models at my local store to see if I could find something cheaper, but none were comfortable so I sprang for this one. I’m glad I did. It really worked well for me. The material is quite comfortable. Its infinitely adjustable with the combination of velcro on the top and bottom and the tightening straps. Its convenient to take on and off. The metal hinge, unlike the ones I tried at the store, seemed perfectly placed. I am weaning myself off its use now that my knee is improved, but I used it everytime I went walking for a month. I had a week-long trip to Disneyland where I used it all day and even then it went well. I didn’t get sweaty although admittedly this was during spring weather. The one thing I didn’t end up using it for was sitting at my desk since it didn’t seem necessary and even a comfortable knee brace is less comfortable than no knee brace 🙂
