Wear and Care of the Oval 8 Finger Splint
Wear
Oval-8 splints may be worn full time depending on your condition or on an as needed basis without limiting the movement of your hands.
Turning the splint around the finger joint changes how the splint controls finger motion. See the “Oval 8 Splint Guide” for how to position an Oval-8 on your finger for different conditions.
If your finger size changes due to in swelling or different temperatures, Oval-8 splints offer a looser fit when the end with the + Plus sign is slipped on the finger first and a more secure fit by simply turning the splint around to put the other end on first. See pg. 2 of the Oval-8 Guide for details
Care
Hand washable and waterproof
Material
The Oval 8 BEIGE Finger Splints are made from medical-grade 100% Polypropylene plastic. No natural rubber latex was used in the manufacture of these medical products.
Please Note
These splints are not recommended for children under the age of 4 as they may cause choking if swallowed.
Your finger may discolor slightly when you first put your splint on. If the color does not return to normal after 3 to 5 minutes of wear, try a different size or stop wearing the splint. Do not use an Oval-8 over an open sore or wound.
It is recommended that you discuss the use of this splint with your healthcare provider to help determine if this medical product is appropriate for your problem. Oval-8 Finger Splints may be adjusted by a healthcare provider trained in fitting splints to adjust the splint for your finger.
Sizing Chart
Important Note… When measuring your finger, measure very loosely. If your measuring tape is too tight around your finger, the splint may not fit.
Please download the printable sizing guide to help figure out what the best sizing for your finger will be. Remember to loosely measure your finger and your finger size can change as the days goes on so we also recommend you choose a few different sizes of finger splints.
Individual size packages are perfect for those who know their size or want the convenience of having more than one splint. A graduated Set of 3 sizes is sold separately for those trying Oval-8 Splints for the first time.
Use a flexible measuring tape to measure around the joint of your affected finger. The Oval-8 Sizing Guide is a paper measuring guide you print and cut out to measure for the Oval-8 sizes most likely to fit.
Since swelling or temperature changes can affect your finger size, choosing only one size does not always guarantee that size will be 100% correct. We suggest choosing an Oval-8 Graduated Set of 3 sizes to get the right fit for you. If you are replacing a splint or know the size you need, single size packages of 1,3 or 5 splints are available.
Please Note: Oval-8 Finger Splints are a medical product and in some cases may require custom sizing to assure the best fit for your condition. Please refer to the Oval-8 Guide for information on finding a healthcare provider in your area trained in custom fitting splints.

I really like the Oval 8 finger splint. I wish that I had found out about them sooner.Great customer service, too.
JENNY Stoltz –
Excellent, best splint I’ve found and it fit perfectly too!
Patricia Israel –
Did not work well for me. Moved up my finger during the night and my knuckle was slightly red and painful in the morning. I worry about removing it, can be a bit of a struggle so I don’t use it all any more. I will need to get a different type of splint. My physiotherapist recommended the Oval-8 Finger Splint and fitted me for the one that I purchased.
Keith Stewart –
Cost of deliver was the only draw back. I got exactly what I ordered in a timely fashion.
Regena Russell –
My order was not suitable for my mallet finger. Itcwasvtoo small but I was taking a chance that it might fit. I went across this entire Island and one pharmacy offered me a price of $50.00 for one splint. I went to physiotherapist companies. There is no help for thus injury on this Island. My GP said it will not improve. I am 4 months post-injury. After I received the wrong size from your co. I went to the dollar store and bought two elastic bands and tied them together for my finger. It appears not to be good for circulation. It is very discouraging. Thank you for asking.

Laura Judson –
It was too small
Patricia Duringer –
I love the finger splints! My fingers have straightened considerably since I started wearing them. Enough that I think I need smaller sizes! Very happy with the produce and how quickly they shipped
Yvonne Coates –
Thank you
Stefan Kovacevic –
Mangled up my finger during COVID. I use the Oval 8 during the day as it gives me a little more latitude and movement. I have been swapping it at night with the Stax finger splint. Glad I found these items.
Shelly Repchull –
They worked great and very comfortable.
M Louise Albertson –
These little splints are amazing. Just love that there is a larger opening on one side of the splint for the perfect sit. I have been wearing mine at night and no longer wake up with my finger trobbing. Also, I also wear it off and on during the day as I always seem to smack my little finger; this splint also keeps my finger safe.
Vanessa Grant Oltmann –
These are great finger splints. Very comfortable. The only issue I had was that I lost a couple of them while in grocery stores when they slipped off without me noticing them. That issue can be avoided by either putting an arthritis glove on over them, or using a little piece of paper tape to keep them from sliding off.
Ella Morrison –
Works like a charm to prevent trigger finger! Highly recommended.
Eda Milne –
The finger brace works really well. The best I have ha
Joanne Beyea –
I purchased two different sizes. I find this meets my needs well. I most often wear the larger size, which is a size up from where the measurements led me, as my fingers tend swell (e.g. with prolonged walking and as the evening wears on), and it’s most comfortable for overnight. When I’m washing my hands a lot at work, typing, and finger (trigger thumb) size is "normal", the smaller size is better. It seems having two sizes incorporated into each splint and very little difference between the full splint sizes shouldn’t make that big of a difference, but it does. The feel is just a little different between the two directions as well, and sometimes one direction just feels more comfortable than the other. Very pleased that they were most affordable on this site, and delivery was prompt. I bought a couple of each size, so that if I happen to switch them out at work, I still have the right size at home. I hardly feel like I’m wearing anything, but it works well, and can be easily kept clean.
Mihai Opris –
I purchased this item for a trigger finger condition. If fits very well and there is a lot of health improvement after 3 weeks. It looks like the solution for this medical condition. I highly recommend.
Donna Dielschneider –
Cost effective way to ease my finger joint issues. Will be ordering more. Thanks.

These finger splints are a great support for the early symptoms of trigger finger! They are light and hardly noticeable. Much better than a clunky hand stabilizer, if you just need finger support. Sadly, I ordered 3 and they are all too small! Be careful to measure your fingers properly, as the plastic is not flexible, so they don’t fit over my knuckle!
Anita Elworthy –
Does not fit well. The material is too stiff and could be more flexible to provide a better fit.
Jamie Quail –
I ordered based on the size guide and the splint was too small even though my measurement was in the middle of the range. I would suggest to get a size bigger than you think you need because your fingers are not a perfect cylinder. Maybe the product would be good with the right size but it is disappointing you can’t return it if it doesn’t fit, and too expensive for a little piece of plastic to want to try again.
Janice Blake –
Really happy with this purchase. The other splints were cumbersome and so I kept taking them off. This is the real deal. I may order another.
Vincent Jovino –
I inadvertently ordered the wrong size I ordered a size four but I realize I need size 7 I would like to exchange it I have all the packaging etc it would be great if you could do this you have my email and as I said I called and left a message two weeks ago and no one responded , thank you Vincent Jovino
Anna Wu –

Heather Green –
Excellent fit – very comfortable
Rick Gulbransen –
This is why I’ve just ordered 3 more. I’ve had the operation on one hand and I’m determined not to get an other.
This splint really helps on the amount of times it locks on me. I can use it while I do my stretches and exercises.
Diane Sutton –
This product works very well and is comfortable. With my skin coloring it is quite subtle and does not bring attention to it while wearing. I am very happy with this product. Purchasing and receiving this product though your company was easy and I would choose to shop here again. I have recommended this product also.
Tara Agnerian –
These are fantastic! I wear mine all the time, day and night. I definitely suggest buying three sizes to start though, as it’s difficult to pinpoint the exact size. It’s also a good idea if your fingers swell at times to have a size up or two.
Bruce Pritchard –
This splint immobilizes the joint and reduces the inflammatory effect of the pulley movement , esp overnight and greatly reduces the painful ‘trigger click’ ,in the morning , and well into the day. Can be worn all day easily and is very hygienic as you can wash and dry your hands with it in place .
Alex Raj –
Quality wise it’s very good but for my mallet finger it did not keep my finger fully straight it let it droop slightly and i was using one that fit as tight as possible to take up the slack so I wouldn’t use this style again to treat mallet finger unfortunately
Eugenia Andres –
